Interesting footage of Stokely Carmichael and Angela Davis. Not enough voice over from Davis, too much from Erykah Badu. Not enough voice over from Abiodun Oyewole, too much from Talib Kweli. Too much Swedish perspective; TV Guide; drugs and the Nation Of Islam in the mid 70s; abstract hand hand-wringing about violence; not enough elaboration of party structure and history of which militant tactics worked. Despite it’s pretense to giving voice to a variety of perspectives, this movie contains militancy safely in the past. Would make a good double feature with The Weather Underground
