#2 (third series) Carnage (The Athena)

Despite John C. Reilly, Jody Foster, Kat Winslet and Christoper Waltz parading more ticks than a country dog in summer, as if they were seniors competing for a part in a preforming-arts high school school play or desperate to win an award; despite Yasimia Reza’s global Broadway faux darkness and superficial critique of bourgeois mores; despite Polanski’s inability to find a shooting style that does something other than lighten up the tedium of conventional theater; it’s sort of fun to watch Winslet pretend to vomit on a stack of supposedly rare catalogues raisonnés. Would make a good double feature with Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf.
